Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail

Friday 1 June saw the official opening of the Goulburn River High Country Rail Trail (GRHCRT) by the Hon Simon Crean MP.

The trail runs from Tallarook to Mansfield with a branch line to Alexandra.
(Black Spur Inn is only 30 minutes drive from the branch line in Alexandra)

This is now the longest continuous rail trail in Australia. 

The completed Rail Trail traverses the Mitchell, Murrundindi and Mansfield Shires, connecting towns and communities including Tallarook, Trawool, Kerrisdale, Homewood, Yea, Molesworth, Cathkin, Alexandra, Koriella, Kanumbra, Merton, Woodfield, Bonnie Doon, Maindample and Mansfield.

The Rail Trail includes 134km shared bicycle, walking and bridle trail between Mansfield and Tallarook with a link to Alexandra from Cathkin.
